OLFLEX® INTRODUCES NEW CONTROL CONNECTOR SYSTEM THAT SATISFIES EUROPEAN UNION EMC DIRECTIVE |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Olflex® Wire & Cable, Inc., introduces an industrial-grade shielded control cable system that satisfies the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) requirements of the European Union Directive. The system consists of OLFLEX®-110 CY control cable and OLFLEX® SHVE grounding connector, and is designed to provide maximum protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions. When used together on equipment, the control cable and connector meet the dual requirements of the EMC Directive, namely: 1) to keep the equipment from emitting EMI, and 2) to shield the equipment against EMI emanating from nearby electrical systems. Without EMI noise interruption, equipment maintains consistent operation. This ability to suppress the effects of EMI makes the OLFLEX control system ideal for use on motor-driven machines and appliances, particularly those used in or near sensitive medical or security equipment, data processing, and critical control panel areas. As part of the worldwide Lapp Group, Lapp Group NA offers a complete one-stop automation solution for cable and connector needs.
