Redesigned UNITRONIC®-FD Flexible Cable Results in Improved Temperature Ratings

Lapp announces that its UNITRONIC® -FD Series of flexible data transmission cable line has undergone a redesign, with improved electrical properties and temperature ratings. The new UNITRONIC® - FD PLUS series of cables are ideal for use in automated production processes that require increased flex life characteristics and durability, as well as stationary data transmission semiconductor applications such as flip chip, etching, and soldering systems.

In addition to high flexibility for continuous flex applications, a 250V working voltage, and an improved temperature range of –40° C to +70° C, (from the previous -5° C) the newly redesigned UNITRONIC® -FD PLUS Series of cables have a bend radius for continuous flexing of 7.5 x cable diameter, which provides cost effective operation of automated equipment requiring a long service life in harsh environments.

With a wide temperature range from -20° to +90°C and a specially formulated oil resistant black PVC jacket, this multi-conductor cable is designed for use in all electrical equipment in a variety of environments, including ones with damp, dry, and/or wet conditions. A shielded version is also available, for when EMI/RFI is a concern.
